Hatsukokoro "SPG STRIX" Mirror Damascus Series

We are honoured to present the first batch of Hatsukokoro STRIX. This series features an all-around performance-enhanced "New Generation Powdered Steel," developed and manufactured by Takefu Special Steel Co.

Typically, hardness, rust resistance, and ease of sharpening are mutually exclusive. According to the official description, STRIX achieves a hardness of HRC 65 while remaining easy to sharpen, similar to VG10 or SG2. It also boasts excellent rust resistance, all thanks to its unique alloy composition.

While many ultra-hard metals are available on the market, not all are suitable for making kitchen knives. We recommend this steel because we believe a knife must achieve a balance between hardness, rust resistance, and ease of sharpening, and SPG STRIX is designed to meet this goal. Therefore, we wholeheartedly recommend this steel to you.
