Nigara Hamono V2 Steel Honyaki Kama-Yanagi

This Honyaki Kama Yanagi-ba prototype was forged by Nigara Hamono around a decade ago, as indicated by the early steel stamp. It is made with V2 steel from Takefu Special Steel and features a unique hamon, making it quite an unorthodox blade.

This piece has been in our collection for some time, and we commissioned Xinguo to re-grind and re-polish the blade for us. It has been given a Mirror & Kasumi polish that highlights the details and craftsmanship of the blacksmith, as seen in the steel grain boundaries.
