Description
Requiem marks a structural departure within Ksawery Szymczak’s evolving body of work. Known for his focus on blade geometry and sculptural silhouette, he introduces here his first take‑down construction handle — a new technical direction within his practice.

As in his previous work, the blade is forged from Apex Ultra and clad in stainless steel. A black etched finish reveals the active core line as it moves organically along the blade face. His signature S‑grind geometry improves food release and reduces drag while maintaining a thin, decisive edge. Beneath the surface activity lies disciplined thickness distribution and controlled taper.

The distinction lies in the handle.

The precisely constructed handle is made from Stabilized Hornbeam, framed by machined zirconium and brass components. Designed as a fully dismantlable system, it can be disassembled through a concealed screw integrated into the butt cap. Even the dedicated Allen driver was fabricated specifically for this knife. Take‑down construction demands exact tolerances and precise internal alignment. Nothing can rely on adhesives. The structure must resolve through accuracy alone.
