Description
This is a Magnacut monosteel series made exclusively for us by Fredrik Spåre.

Since its release, Magnacut has become one of the most desired premium powder steels among knife enthusiasts around the world. It combines high toughness, strong corrosion resistance, and excellent edge retention. Its durability makes it well suited for demanding kitchen work.

The profile clearly reflects Fredrik’s personal style. Each blade is hand forged, with the upper portion left in its natural black oxide finish, known in Japan as "Kurouchi". The bevel has a simple brushed satin finish. The overall feel is quiet and restrained, true to Scandinavian design.

The edge geometry is dialed in with care, balancing cutting performance with everyday reliability. The spine and finger choil are rounded and polished for a comfortable grip. This knife is positioned as a true working tool, built for real use.

The handle is made from locally sourced spalted wood. Its organic patterns are created through natural fungal spalting, giving each piece a unique character. Beyond its appearance, it offers good stability and a warm feel in hand. A hammered brass bolster at the front adds texture and a subtle traditional touch.
