Description
World Art Series · “Zentangle”

Hand-forged and ground by Xinguo, the blade is made from Ginsan, a stainless steel known for its fine edge, excellent sharpening response, balanced edge retention, and resistance to corrosion.

Inspired by Zentangle, an art method created by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts in 2004, this knife explores the sense of calm found in the repetition and interplay of simple lines.

The blade’s two opposing curves evoke the balance of yin and yang, forming an understated and elegant silhouette. Its extremely refined geometry is matched by Xinguo’s exceptional workmanship, with every surface carefully shaped, polished, and finished to a remarkably high standard.

Fine linear textures meet Italian hand-engraving techniques, creating a layered shimmer reminiscent of Buccellati that shifts with the light. The pattern continues across the blade, while the mirror-polished edge provides a crisp contrast between texture and reflection.
