Nigara Hamono’s STRIX series builds on their well-regarded SG2 line, pairing the maker’s signature tsuchime Damascus with a clean, purposeful profile to create knives that are both visually striking and highly functional. The blade geometry is tuned with a relatively thin yet stable spine and a well‑executed saber grind, offering a strong balance between cutting performance and food release, while octagonal rosewood handles with horn ferrules feel luxurious without being flashy.

This lineup uses SPG STRIX powder stainless steel from Takefu Special Steel, a high‑hardness, high‑wear‑resistance alloy with a fine carbide distribution that delivers excellent sharpness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance for demanding professional or intensive home use.
