Today, we present something unexpected.

From "Yanyi Metal Works" comes a rice paddle crafted with the same level of intent and precision as a high-end blade.

The maker behind the brand, "Yao", is only 26 years old.  As Xinguo’s first apprentice, the Honyaki series that brought Xinguo into the spotlight was shaped by his hands. Young, yet already established.

This piece exists simply because he wanted to make it.

The paddle is forged from Dual Core Stainless Damascus steel, its layered patterns flowing like topographic lines that shift subtly under light.  
Full tang construction provides solid weight and balance.  
The handle is made from premium American desert ironwood, its deep, dramatic grain creating a striking contrast against the cool precision of steel.

What will he create next?

A spatula?  
A spoon?  
Something entirely different?

No one knows.

With a craftsman like him, once inspiration strikes, anything can happen.
