Yu Kurosaki is one of Echizen’s most celebrated blacksmiths, working out of Takefu Knife Village and recognized as a traditional craftsman for his exceptionally thin, high‑performance kitchen knives. His Shizuku (“water drop”) series is a special, hand‑forged line that showcases his distal taper forge and signature hammered pattern inspired by falling raindrops and a turbulent water surface, giving each piece a distinctive play of light and texture.

Forged from laminated SG2 powder steel and finished to an elegant hairline polish, the Shizuku series reflects Kurosaki’s pursuit of unforgettable cutting feel and refined aesthetics.
