Description
The limited Black Phoenix series is presented by the renowned Japanese brand Zanmai, based in Seki. Fusing traditional Japanese craftsmanship with advanced modern manufacturing, it represents a seamless union of performance and artistry.
At its core is V‑Toku2 steel, developed by Takefu Special Steel. This high‑carbon alloy steel offers outstanding wear resistance, edge retention, and toughness. With a hardness of approximately HRC 64, the blade achieves exceptional sharpness, lasting stability, and a clean, decisive cutting feel.
The blade is clad in stainless rainbow Damascus, intricately etched to reveal flowing patterns reminiscent of a phoenix spreading fiery wings. Beyond its striking visual presence, the stainless outer layers enhance overall corrosion resistance, making the knife well‑suited for daily use and easy maintenance.
An extremely thin convex edge allows the blade to glide effortlessly through ingredients with minimal resistance. Rounded spine and choil finishing further enhance comfort, ensuring a refined and controlled grip during extended preparation.
The handle continues the elegant design language of the Aranami series—graceful, understated, and meticulously crafted. Each knife is presented in a wooden box befitting its limited status.
